support through the week. After the meeting I sat down at my desk and saw

the email from Emily Peterson, Mr. ell's personal assistant asking me

to e to Mr. ell's office at 10am. Was this my promotiohey

giving me old man ell's office?

I arrived at the outer offid greeted Emily. She smiled and told me to

wait. Wait for what I thought?? A big unveiling ceremony where I would be

given the new office? The door opeo the inner offid there

standing before me was Mr. Withersby. Just like in his photos he stood

perfectly dressed and ready for work. "Jake" he asked flashing a bright

smile. His face was much more handsome then in the pictures and he had this

boyish charm that filled the room. I nodded, being taken off guard for a

moment. "e on in" he said stepping out of the way to let me pass. "Have

a seat" I positioned myself across from Mr. Withersby and sat down taking

in the office. Mr. Withersby must have had a team of 10 tanize and

unload his stuff because the room was immaculate.

"Thanks for meeting with me" Mr. Withersby said with a soft mase

British at. "I uand that you and Mr. ell were close, and he

provided me with great input on your work at WCS. I hope we establish

the same w relationship" he said. A feeling of deception hit me. Was

this pure bullshit or was I just used to Mr. ell? After hearing

Withersby's plans for restructuring the firm I realized I would still have

a job but my ce of promotion to VP was shot to hell.

I returo my offid sat down exhausted from the talk. I loosened my

tie and undid the top button of my shirt as I sagged further into my desk

chair. I pulled work orders and started to gh them. At about 1pm

there was a knoy door and assuming it was one of my team members I

yelled with some annoyance "e in the door is opened" I looked up to see

Mr. Withersby standing there still perfect like a model from a men's
